ASP Data Center at AI World Congress London
ASP Data Center at AI World Congress London
We were honored to be invited to the AI World Congress in London!
ASP Data Center discussed the positive impact AI has had from a data center perspective and addressed potential environmental consequences. AI has been in the spotlight for quite some time, but we must not forget the environment.
Sustainability is at the top of ASP Data Center’s agenda. Our core focus is on factors affecting sustainability and the important use of hydropower in data centers. High power usage efficiency (low PUE) is key to achieving sustainable operations for our customers.
Efficiency
Efficiency in data centers is crucial for both the environment and customer costs. ASP Data Center does not emit CO2, as we use 100% electricity from hydropower, and all CO2 savings are credited to our customers.
Additionally, ASP Data Center reuses the heat produced in our facilities, resulting in a carbon-negative impact. This is achieved by recycling waste heat to warm homes, schools, offices, and other facilities. Customers can then reduce their CO2 emissions on their account balance according to the GHG Protocol Scope 3.
The AI World Congress in London concluded with a panel debate in which ASP Data Center played a key role alongside experts in AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. The debate focused on the shortage of power to meet the current demand for data center capacity. The demand is very high, and many data center operators are out of capacity due to the rapid increase in power usage per computing rack, which has surged from 6-10 KW per rack to over 40 KW per rack.
As a result of ASP Data Center's efforts to meet our customers' demands, we have acquired three new data center sites ready for service as of Q4 2024.
