Every site runs on hydropower from Norwegian and Finnish grids. Cooling comes from seawater, river water and cold air year round. Excess heat goes into local district heating rather than out through the roof.

Redistribution of Excess Heat
Heat from the halls is reused wherever we can place it, rather than vented through the roof.
At K11 in Forus, excess heat and district cooling are being integrated into Lyse’s energy network.
Warmth that would otherwise be wasted goes into nearby buildings and the local district heating network instead.
